Health Maintenance Organization Certificate of Authority Application Filed by Humana Medical Plan of Pennsylvania, Inc.

[Saturday, July 28, 2012]On March 27, 2012, Humana Medical Plan of Pennsylvania, Inc. filed an application with the Department of Health and the Insurance Department for a certificate of authority to establish, operate and maintain a health maintenance organization (HMO) under the provisions of the Health Maintenance Organization Act (40 P. S. §§ 1551—1567), Department of Health HMO regulations (28 Pa. Code § 9.632(b) (relating to HMO certificate of authority review by the Department)) and the Insurance Department HMO regulations (31 Pa. Code §§ 301.1—301.204).
The proposed service area of the applicant is Lancaster, Bucks, Chester, Montgomery, Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties.
