Preproposal Conference/Funding Workshop

   The Department of Education (Department), Bureau of Vocational-Technical Education, will conduct a preproposal conference/funding workshop on Friday, May 29, 1998, to review funding priorities and application procedures for the following competitive grant program:

Intermediate Units,
and/or Postsecondary
Institutions

   Grant applications for 1998-99 will be distributed by mail in advance and will also be available at this preproposal conference/funding workshop. Attendance at this meeting is not a prerequisite for application for this grant program.

   Secondary educational agencies and postsecondary institutions interested in gaining a copy of the Tech Prep--New Consortia grant application guidelines may call the Bureau of Vocational-Technical Education at (717) 787-5293.

   The Tech Prep--New Consortia preproposal conference/funding workshop will be held on Friday, May 29, 1998, in the Honors Suite, first floor, at the Department of Education, 333 Market Street, Harrisburg. The workshop will begin at 10 a.m. and is expected to conclude by 1 p.m. Registration for this workshop will be one-half hour prior to the beginning time.
