Finding

Westmoreland County

   Pursuant to the provisions of 71 P. S. Section 2002(b), the Secretary of Transportation makes the following written finding:

   The Department of Transportation is proposing a project to widen S. R. 0022 from the Westmoreland/ Allegheny County line east to just west of the S. R. 0022 intersection with S. R. 0066 in Salem Township, Westmoreland County. S. R. 0022 will be widened to six lanes from the Westmoreland/Allegheny County line east to Mill Street in Murrysville, and to four lanes from Mill Street to the project terminus west of the S. R. 0066 Interchange. The Department of Transportation has received environmental clearance in the form of a Finding of No Significant Impact from the Division Administrator of the Federal Highway Administration.

   No adverse environmental effect is likely to result from the construction of this section of highway.
