Service of Notice of Motor Carrier Applications

   The following temporary authority and/or permanent authority applications for the right to render service as a common carrier or contract carrier in this Commonwealth have been filed with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. Publication of this notice shall be considered as sufficient notice to all carriers holding authority from this Commission. Applications will be considered without hearing in the absence of protests to the application. Protests to the applications published herein are due on or before June 7, 1999, as set forth at 52 Pa. Code § 3.381 (relating to applications for transportation of property and persons). The protest shall also indicate whether it applies to the temporary authority application or the permanent application or both.

Applications of the following for approval of the beginning of the exercise of the right and privilege of operating as common carriers for transportation of persons as described under each application.

   A-00115843.  Penn Paratransit Service, Inc. (P. O. Box 394, Furlong, Bucks County, PA 18925), a corporation of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania--persons, in group and party service, using vehicles seating 15 passengers or less, including the driver, between points in the city and county of Philadelphia, and from points in said city and county, to points in Pennsylvania, and return.    A-00115842.  Red Rose Limousine Service, Inc.  (3633 North Hermitage Road, Transfer, Mercer County, PA 16154), a corporation of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania--persons, in group and party service, using vehicles seating 15 passengers or less, including the driver, between points in the county of Mercer, and from points in said county, to points in Pennsylvania, and return.    A-00115844.  Irene Rae Klein, t/d/b/a Amish Farmland Tours (9 Janis Road, P. O. Applications of the following for approval of the beginning of the exercise of the right and privilege of operating motor of operating motor vehicles as common carriers for the transportation of persons by transfer of rights as described under each application.

   A-00115858.  Countryside Limousine Service, Inc. (R. D. 2, Box 45, Derry, Westmoreland County, PA 15627), a corporation of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania--persons in limousine service, between points in the county of Indiana, and from said county, to points in Pennsylvania, and return; which is to be a transfer of the limousine right authorized Rolling Hills Limousine Service, Inc., under the certificate issued at A-00109480, F. 1, subject to the same limitations and conditions.    A-00115861.  Tribute Transportation Company, t/d/b/a Profile Transportation Company (1869 Nicholas Drive, Huntingdon Valley, Montgomery County, PA 19006), a corporation of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania--persons in limousine service, between points in the counties of Bucks, Montgomery and Philadelphia, and from points in said counties, to points in Pennsylvania, and return; subject to the following condition: that no right, power or privilege is granted to provide service to points in the county of Delaware; which is to be a transfer of all of the rights authorized under the certifi-cate issued at A-00110916 to Profile Limousine Service, Inc., t/d/b/a Limousines by Knights, a corporation of the State of New Jersey, subject to the same limitations and conditions.    A-00096277, Folder 1, Am-B.  Thomas L. Marks and Richard J. Marks Copartners, t/d/b/a Marks Brothers (R.D. 4, Box 167A, Huntingdon, Huntingdon County, PA 16652)--discontinuance of service--persons in group and party service: (1) from points in the borough of Mount Union, Mapleton, Shirleysburg, Orbisonia, Rockhill Furnace, Cassville, Galtillo, Three Springs and Shade Gap, and the townships of Shirley, Union, Cass, Cromwell, Clay, Springfield, Brady, Dublin, Tell and Todd, Huntingdon County, and the borough of Kistler, Mifflin County, to points in Pennsylvania; and (2) from points in the borough of Huntingdon, and the township of Smithfield, Huntingdon County, to the following destinations: (a) for the Girl Scouts of America to camps in the county of Huntingdon; and (b) for the Boy Scouts of America to points in the county of Huntingdon and to the city of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County; subject to the following restrictions: (A) that the service herein authorized is limited to the use of school bus type equipment; and (B) provided that no right, power or privilege is granted to transport persons in tours, sight-seeing trips and special excursions.
