Service of Notice of Motor Carrier Applications

   The following temporary authority and/or permanent authority applications for the right to render service as a common carrier or contract carrier in this Commonwealth have been filed with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. Publication of this notice shall be considered as sufficient notice to all carriers holding authority from this Commission. Applications will be considered without hearing in the absence of protests to the application. Protests to the applications published herein are due on or before Aug. 30, 1999, as set forth at 52 Pa. Code § 3.381 (relating to applications for transportation of property and persons). The protest shall also indicate whether it applies to the temporary authority application or the permanent application or both.

Applications of the following for approval of the beginning of the exercise of the right and privilege of operating as common carriers for transportation of persons as described under each application.

   A-00116067. Karen Lee Miller (6215 Shepherd Hills Avenue, Wescosville, Lehigh County, PA 18106)--persons in limousine service, between points in the city of Allentown, Lehigh County, and within an airline distance of 60 statute miles of the limits of said city, and from points in said territory, to points in Pennsylvania, and return.

Dennis Queen (5334 North Camac Street, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, PA 19141)--persons in paratransit service, between points in the counties of Philadelphia, Montgomery, Delaware, Chester and Bucks, and from points in said counties, to points within an airline distance of 50 statute miles of the limits of said territory.

(306 East Baltimore Pike, Suite A, Media, Delaware County, PA 19063), a corporation of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania--persons, upon call or demand, (1) in the county of Delaware, excluding the townships of Marple, Upper Providence, and Newtown; (2) in the township of Tredyffin, Chester County, and (3) in the township of Lower Merion, Montgomery County, excluding that part of the township on and east of a line beginning at Waverly Road and the Schuylkill River, then southeastwardly along Waverly Road to its intersection with Morris Avenue, then southeasterwardly along Morris Avenue to its intersection with Old Gulph Road, then west- ward along Old Gulph Road, to its merger with Robert Road, then southward along Robert Road, to the Montgomery-Delaware County Line. Eric Eugene Patterson and Jay Lynn Gardenhour, Copartners, t/d/b/a A-Plus Classic Limousine (570 Cleveland Avenue, Waynesboro, Franklin County, PA 17268)--persons in limousine service, between points in the county of Franklin, and from points in the said county, to points in Pennsylvania, and return. An application for temporary authority has been filed seeking the right cited above.

Application of the following for amendment to the certificate of public convenience approving the operation of motor vehicles as common carriers for the transportation of household goods by transfer of rights as described under each application.

   A-00115679, Folder 3. Millennium Moving Co., Inc. (17 Ronald Circle, Oreland, Montgomery County, PA 19075), a corporation of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania--additional right--to transport, as a common carrier, by motor vehicle, household goods in use, between points in the counties of Philadelphia, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Bucks, included within a line which connects the boundaries of Chester, West Chester, Norristown, Paoli, Doylestown and Morrisville, but not including said places, and from points in said territory, to other points in Pennsylvania, and vice versa; which is to be a transfer of all of the rights authorized under the certificate issued at A-00106087 to Dillon Moving, Inc. Applications of the following for amendment to the certificate of public convenience approving the operation of motor vehicles as common carriers for transportation of persons as described under each application.

   A-00086705, F. 5, Am-A. Posten Taxi, Incorporated (777 South Franklin Street, Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, PA 18702), a corporation of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania--persons in paratransit service, between points in the city of Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, and within an airline distance of 30 statute miles of the limits of said city; subject to the following conditions: that no right, power or privilege is granted to render limousine service or to employ limousines or luxury-type vehicles to render the service; that the service herein authorized is limited to transportation in vehicles having a seating capacity of not more than 15 persons, including the driver, without the use of dome lights and taximeters; that the service herein authorized is limited to transportation in vehicles not reserved for individual use for which advance reservations are made not less than the previous calendar day: so as to permit (1) the transportation of persons in paratransit service, between points in the city of Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, and within an airline distance of 30 statute miles of the limits of said city and from points in said territory to points in Pennsylvania, and vice versa; and (2) persons in paratransit service between points in the counties of Monroe, Pike and Wayne, and from points in said counties, to points in Pennsylvania, and vice versa.
