INSURANCE DEPARTMENT

Alliance Health Network; Medical Rate Filing

   On November 11, 1999, Alliance Health Network submitted a filing requesting a base rate increase between 10.3% and 12.7%, depending on the selected benefit level, for the Community Rated HMO Medical Program for an effective date of April 1, 2000. This filing will affect approximately 21,836 contracts and 45,000 members. The estimated additional annual revenue generated from this increase is approximately $7.4 million.

   Copies of the filing are available for public inspection during normal working hours, by appointment, at the Insurance Department's Harrisburg Regional Office.

   Interested parties are invited to submit written comments, suggestions or objections to Cherri Sanders-Jones, Actuary, Bureau of Accident and Health Insurance, Insurance Department, 1311 Strawberry Square, Harrisburg, PA 17120, within 30 days after publication of this notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin.
