Aetna USHealthCare Medical and Pharmacy; Rate Filing

[30 Pa.B. 2001]

   On March 31, 2000, Aetna USHealthCare submitted a rate filing to increase the Individual Advantage product rates for all service areas. The filing represents an increase of 14% on medical and 30% on pharmacy over the approved July 1, 1999--June 30, 2000 base medical and pharmacy rates. This is equivalent to an overall increase of 15.6%. The estimated rate increase will effect approximately 14,000 members and will result in additional annual premium income of approximately $3.5 million ($2.8 million on medical and $0.7 million on pharmacy). The proposed effective date is July 1, 2000.

   A copy of the filing is available for public inspection during normal working hours, by appointment, at the Insurance Department's Harrisburg, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Erie Regional Offices.

   Interested parties are invited to submit written comments, suggestions or objections to Cherri Sanders-Jones, Actuary, Bureau of Accident and Health Insurance, Insurance Department, 1311 Strawberry Square, Harrisburg, PA 17120, within 30 days after publication of this notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin.
