DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES

Act 266 of 1982 provides for the payment of interest penalties on certain invoices of "qualified small business concerns". The penalties apply to invoices for goods or services when payments are not made by the required payment date or within a 15 day grace period thereafter.    Act 1984-196 redefined a "qualified small business concern" as any independently owned and operated, for-profit business concern employing 100 or fewer employees. See 4 Pa.Code § 2.32. The business must include the following statement on every invoice submitted to the Commonwealth: "(name of business) is a qualified small business concern as defined in 4 Pa. Wolfe (570) 368-4211 RFP #PBPP-25-01-08 The PA Board of Probation & Parole (PBPP) is soliciting proposals to provide contracted inpatient and outpatient drug and alcohol therapy and other services to offenders who will be paroled or reparoled from a County Correctional Facility or offenders as a result of parole violation in lieu of incarceration. These services are to be provided immediately upon release from incarceration or, in the case of parole violation, within 24 hours of referral by PBPP staff. Offenders who are eligible and diverted to the County SAVE Program are entered into treatment that covers a one-year period (three months of inpatient care and nine months of outpatient care). Services are needed within three, geographical regions of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania: Western, Central and Eastern.
