Alleged Violation of Insurance Laws; Daniel J. Reardon and The Wyomissing Group, Ltd. and S.E.C.U.R.E. Insurance Co., Ltd.; Doc. No. SC 02-08-007

   Notice is hereby given of the Order to Show Cause issued on August 14, 2000, by the Deputy Insurance Commissioner in the previously referenced matter. Violation of the following is alleged: sections 208, 209, 604, 622, 633, 633.1, 635 and 639 of The Insurance Department Act of 1921 (40 P. S. §§ 46, 47, 234, 252, 273, 273.1, 275 and 279); sections 4, 5 and 7--11 of the Unfair Insurance Practices Act (40 P. S. §§ 1171.4, 1171.5 and 1171.7--1171.11), sections 1603, 1608 and 1625 of The Insurance Company Law of 1921 (40 P. S. §§ 991.1603, 991.1608 and 991.1625).

   Respondent shall file a written answer to the Order to Show Cause within 20 days of the date of issue. If respondent files a timely answer, a formal administrative hearing shall be held in accordance with 2 Pa.C.S. §§ 501--508 and 701--704 (relating to Administrative Agency Law); 1 Pa. Code Part II (relating to General Rules of Administrative Practice and Procedure); 31 Pa. Code Chapter 56 (relating to special rules of administrative practice and procedure); and other relevant procedural provisions of law.

   Answers, motions preliminary to those at hearing, protests, petitions to intervene or notices of intervention, if any, must be filed in writing with the Hearings Administrator, Insurance Department, Administrative Hearings Office, 901 North 7th Street, Harrisburg, PA 17102.
