HOUSING FINANCE AGENCY

Request for Proposals and Mandatory Predevelopment Seminars for the Homeownership Choice Program

   The Housing Finance Agency (Agency) is announcing the availability of funds for its Homeownership Choice Program (HCP) for the development of single family homes, for purchase, in urban communities. HCP funds will be available to selected proposals determined by the Agency to best meet the guiding principles, requirements and program criteria set forth in detail in the Request for Proposals (RFP). The full text of the RFP is available by contacting the Agency as indicated in this notice or by visiting the Agency's website at www.phfa.org (under ''News and Notices'').

   To assist prospective applicants in preparing applications for funding, two predevelopment information seminars will be held in Harrisburg on September 18 and September 23, 2003. Persons need only attend one of the seminars and only one of the partners from each HCP proposal must be in attendance. Attendance is mandatory. No proposals will be accepted from entities other than those who attend one of the predevelopment seminars.    Applications for the HCP program must be received no later than 2 p.m., Thursday, December 4, 2003. Information regarding funding decisions is expected to be made available in April 2004.

   The Agency is committed to the policy that all persons shall have equal access to its programs and employment without regard to race, religion, gender, national origin, handicap, familial status or age. The PHFA reserves the right to amend or modify its HCP program and may determine to discontinue this, or any of its other programs, at its discretion at any time.
