American Progressive Life & Health Insurance Company of New York; Application for Approval of Revised Rates for Standardized and Select Medicare Supplement Policy Forms

   American Progressive Life & Health Insurance Company of New York has filed for approval increased rates for its individual standardized and select Medicare supplement policy forms. The filing requests an aggregate rate increase of 10.5%, which varies by form as follows:

   These rate adjustments will affect approximately 13,642 insureds in this Commonwealth, and will generate approximately $2.9 million in additional premium annually. The company requests that the revised rates take effect on June 15, 2007.

   Unless formal administrative action is taken prior to June 13, 2007, the subject filing may be deemed approved by operation of law.

   A copy of the filing is available on the Insurance Department's (Department) website at www.ins. state.pa.us. Under the Quick Links section, click on the link ''Rate Filings Published in the PA Bulletin.''

   Copies of the filing are also available for public inspection, by appointment, during normal working hours at the Department's offices in Harrisburg, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.
