DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
[37 Pa.B. 4493]
[Saturday, August 11, 2007]
Under section 2002(b) of The Administrative Code of 1929 (71 P. S. § 512(b)), the Acting Director of the Bureau of Design makes the following written finding:
The Department of Transportation plans to replace the existing Scrubgrass Creek Bridge, carrying SR 3005 over Scrubgrass Creek in Clinton Township, Venango County. The existing Scrubgrass Creek Bridge has been determined eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. The effect of this project on the said Scrubgrass Creek Bridge will be mitigated by the measures to minimize harm to the historic resource outlined in the Categorical Exclusion Evaluation/Section 2002 Evaluation prepared for the subject project.
The environmental, economic, social and other effects of the proposed project as enumerated in section 2002 of The Administrative Code of 1929 have been considered. It has concluded that there is no feasible and prudent alternative to the project as designed, and all reasonable steps have been taken to minimize the effect.
No adverse environmental effect is likely to result from the replacement of this bridge.
BRIAN G. THOMPSON, P. E.,
Acting Director, Bureau of Design
