By filing No. 1A-HDHP/CDP/GI-07-HBS, Highmark Blue Shield requests approval to increase rates for its Direct Pay Guaranteed Issue PPO High Deductible Health Plan. The filing requests an average rate change of 15% or $63.45 per contract per month. This will affect about 900 contractholders and will produce additional income of about $696,000 annually. The requested effective date of the change is January 1, 2008.
Unless formal administrative action is taken prior to October 24, 2007, the subject filing may be deemed approved by operation of law.
