PMSLIC Insurance Company Rate and Rule Filing; Rate Filing

   On July 25, 2007, the Insurance Department (Department) received from PMSLIC Insurance Company a filing for rate level changes for physicians and surgeons professional liability insurance. The company requests an overall rate level decrease of 11.0% to be effective January 1, 2008. The filing includes the following revisions:

   *  Changes to manual base rates.

   *  Changes to five class relativities.

   *  Changes to three territory relativities.

   *  Movement of 17 specialties from one class to another.

   *  Movement of eight counties from one territory to another.

   Unless formal administrative action is taken prior to September 8, 2007, the rates within the subject filing may be deemed into use upon the effective date, January 1, 2008, by operation of law.

   A copy of the filing is available on the Department's website at www.ins.state.pa.us. Under the Quick Links section, click on the link ''Rate Filings Published in the PA Bulletin.''

   A copy of the filing is also available for public inspection, by appointment, during normal working hours at the Department's Harrisburg office.

   Interested parties are invited to submit written comments, suggestions or objections to Gang (Eric) Zhou, Insurance Department, Insurance Product Regulation and Market Enforcement, 1311 Strawberry Square, Harrisburg, PA 17120, gzhou@state.pa.us, within 15 days after publication of this notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin.
