   Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania has filed for approval revised rates for its Nongroup Medigap Security 65 Hospitalization Program. The requested effective date of the revised rates is January 1, 2008. The most recent prior rate adjustment for this program took effect on October 1, 2005. The current and requested rates for new entrants age 65--69, and the requested rate adjustments, are as follows:

   The composite impact of these proposed rate adjustments is approximately 9.80%. These changes would impact approximately 38,536 subscribers and would produce approximately $3.16 million in additional premium annually.

   Unless formal administrative action is taken prior to November 1, 2007, the subject filing may be deemed approved by operation of law.

   A copy of the filing is available on the Insurance Department's (Department) website at www.ins.state. pa.us. Under the Quick Links section, click on the link ''Rate Filings Published in the PA Bulletin.''

   Copies of the filing are also available for public inspection, by appointment, during normal working hours at the Department's offices in Harrisburg, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.
