On May 13, 2008, Marela C. Garcia, unlicensed, of Wynnewood, Montgomery County, was assessed a $1,000 civil penalty and ordered that as a prerequisite for licensure, she must submit documentation to the State Board of Dentistry evidencing that she has successfully taken and passed the Jurisprudence, Ethics and Risk Management (JERM) Examination, based on findings that Marela C. Garcia held herself out as a practitioner or entitled or authorized to practice dentistry without being duly licensed or certified.

This adjudication and order represents the final Board decision in this matter. It may be appealed to the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania by the filing of a petition for review with that court in accordance with the Pennsylvania Rules of Appellate Procedure. Individuals who take an appeal to the Commonwealth Court must serve the Board with a copy of their petition for review. The Board contact for receiving service of the appeals is the previously-named Board counsel.
