OSM 11(0777)101.1, Abandoned Mine Reclamation Project, Spangler West, Susquehanna Township and Northern Cambria Borough, Cambria County. The principal items of work and approximate quantities include mobilization and demobilization; implementation of the Erosion and Sediment Control Plan; clearing and grubbing; grading 282,523 cubic yards; subsurface drains 900 linear feet; mine seals; 12" PVC pipe and fittings 60 linear feet; AASHTO No. 57 coarse aggregate 288 tons; permanent swales with R4 rock check dams 1,600 linear feet; permanent access road 1,350 linear feet; seeding 36.2 acres; tree planting 21,900 trees. This bid issues on September 14, 2012, and bids will be opened on October 11, 2012, at 2 p.m. Bid documents cost $10 per set and will not be mailed until payment has been received. This project is financed by the Federal government under the authority given it by the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977 (act) (30 U.S.C.A. §§ 1201—1308) and is subject to the act and to the Federal grant for this project.
