The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is soliciting bids for the following projects. Bid documents can be obtained from the Administrative Services Section, Bureau of Facility Design and Construction at (717) 787-5055:
FDC-016-6636.1—Structure Replacement, Bridge No. 16-0023, Landrus Road over Lick Creek Forest District 16, Tioga State Forest, Bloss Township, Tioga County. Work included under this contract includes demolition of existing structure #58-7935-5116-0023, consisting of an existing steel I-beam bridge on stone masonry abutments with a 15`-2" clear span. It will be replaced with a precast reinforced concrete box culvert and precast concrete end sections with an 18` clear roadway width. The box culvert will have a 17` span, a 9` rise and a 7` under clearance. Replacement also includes driving surface aggregate, rock lining and architectural surface treatment, construction of approximately 137.5 linear feet of guiderail, 42 linear feet of structure mounted guiderail, three Type 2 Strong Post End Treatments and one permanent tangent impact attenuator and relocation of two gravity fed water pipes.
Responsive bidders must hold a current small business certification from the Department of General Services (DGS).
FDC-010-3852.1—Superstructure Replacement, Bridge No. 10-0040, Birch Island Road over Amos Branch, Forest District 10, Sproul State Forest, West Keating Township, Clinton County. Work included under this contract consists of rehabilitation of Bridge No. 18-7935-5110-0040. The existing structure which is approximately 11` wide and 12`-6" long will be removed and replaced with a new superstructure that will be 14`-1-1/2" wide and 12`-3" long and will be a reinforced concrete slab bridge with structure mounted guiderail. The existing stone masonry abutments and wingwalls will be rehabilitated. New reinforced concrete caps will be installed on the abutments. Also included are construction of 170 feet of approach roadway work and 40 linear feet of approach guiderail and construction of rock lining along both existing substructure units and along the banks on the south side of the structure.

FDC-133-7561.1—Replace Main Waterline, Bald Eagle State Park, Liberty Township, Centre County. Work included under this contract consists of the complete construction of a replacement potable water distribution system to be placed parallel to the existing. This new system shall be tied into the existing remaining undisturbed distribution system at Bald Eagle State Park.
Bid documents will be available on or after June 4, 2014. The bid opening will be held on July 3, 2014.
