Water Quality Toxics Management Strategy; Public Comment Period Extension and Additional Public Hearing

 By this notice, the public comment period on the proposed statement of policy published at 47 Pa.B. 6703 (October 21, 2017) is extended to February 16, 2018. In addition to the public comment period extension, the Department of Environmental Protection (Department) will be holding one additional public hearing.

 The hearing will be held beginning at 1 p.m. on the following date:

 Persons wishing to present testimony at this hearing are requested to contact Thomas A. Barron at (717) 787-9637 or tbarron@pa.gov at least 1 week in advance of the hearing to reserve a time to present testimony. Verbal testimony is limited to 5 minutes for each witness. Witnesses are requested to submit three written copies of their testimony to the hearing chairperson. Organizations are limited to designating one witness to present testimony on their behalf at the hearing.

 Persons in need of accommodations as provided for in the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 should contact Thomas A. Barron at (717) 787-9637 or through the Pennsylvania AT&T Relay Service at (800) 654-5984 (TDD) to discuss how the Department may accommodate their needs.

 The Department invites public comments on this proposed statement of policy and will accept comments through February 16, 2018. Comments, including comments submitted by e-mail, must include the originator's name and address. A subject heading of the proposal and return name and address must also be included in each transmission. Commentators are urged to submit comments using the Department's online eComment system at www.ahs.dep.pa.gov/eComment. Written comments should be submitted by e-mail to ecomment@pa.gov or by mail to the Department of Environmental Protection, Policy Office, Rachel Carson State Office Building, P.O. Box 2063, Harrisburg, PA 17105-2063. Comments submitted by facsimile will not be accepted.
