Service of Notice of Motor Carrier Applications

 The following temporary authority and/or permanent authority applications for the right to render service as a common carrier or contract carrier in this Commonwealth have been filed with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. Formal protests and petitions to intervene must be filed in accordance with 52 Pa. Code (relating to public utilities). A protest shall indicate whether it applies to the temporary authority application, the permanent authority application, or both. Protests may only be filed if there is evidence that the applicant lacks fitness. Protests based on endangering or impairing operations of an existing carrier will not be honored. Filings must be made with the Secretary, Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, 400 North Street, Harrisburg, PA 17120, with a copy served on the applicant by December 9, 2019. Documents filed in support of the applications are available for inspection and copying at the Office of the Secretary between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and at the business address of the respective applicant.

Applications of the following for approval to begin operating as common carriers for transportation of persons as described under each application.

A-2019-3013337. JK Logistics, LLC (7646 Water Road, Cheltenham, Montgomery County, PA 19012) in paratransit service, for sporting and leisure events, from points in the City and County of Philadelphia, to points in the Counties of Bucks, Delaware and Montgomery, and return.

A-2019-3014048. Auxilium QRS, LLC (P.O. Box 3, East Petersburg, Lancaster County, PA 17520) in paratransit service, limited to persons requiring transport to medical appointments, between points in Pennsylvania.

Application of the following for approval to begin operating as contract carriers for transportation of persons as described under the application.

A-2019-3013854. Dependable People Transportation, LLC (1316 Pheasant Run Road, Middletown, Dauphin County, PA 17057) for the right to begin to transport, as a contract carrier for Medical Transportation Management, Inc., between points in the Counties of Dauphin and Lancaster.

Applications of the following for the approval of the right and privilege to discontinue/abandon operating as common carriers by motor vehicle and for cancellation of the certificate of public convenience as described under each application.

A-2019-3013911. Richard Santiago (1762 Christopher Road, Hazleton, Luzerne County, PA 18201) for the discontinuance of service and cancellation of its certificate, at A-00123622, as a common carrier, by motor vehicle, authorizing the transportation of persons in paratransit service, from Hazleton, Luzerne County to TJ Maxx in Pittston Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, and return.

A-2019-3014011. Gemstar Limousine, LLC (25 Claus Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15227) discontinuance of service and cancellation of its certificate, to transport, as a common carrier, by motor vehicle, at A-00122687, persons in limousine service between points in Pennsylvania.

A-2019-3014019. Gemstar Limousine, LLC (25 Claus Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15227) discontinuance of service and cancellation of its certificate, to transport, as a common carrier, by motor vehicle, at A-00122687, persons in group and party service, in vehicles seating 11 to 15 passengers, including the driver, from points in the Counties of Allegheny, Armstrong, Indiana and Westmoreland, to points in Pennsylvania, and return.

A-2019-3014126. Kimberly Weller, t/a Weller's Specialties (P.O. Box 178, Boxbury, PA 17251) for the discontinuance and cancellation for her certificate, to transport, as a common carrier, by motor vehicle, persons in paratransit service, limited to persons whose personal convictions prevent them from owning or operating motor vehicles, from points in Franklin County, to points in Pennsylvania, and return, as described at Docket No. A-2012-2300370.
