Transfer by Sale; Wastewater Service and Assets

A-2020-3019634. Pennsylvania-American Water Company—Wastewater Division (PAWC-WD). Application of PAWC-WD, under 66 Pa.C.S. §§ 1102(a) and 1329 (relating to enumeration of acts requiring certificate; and valuation of acquired water and wastewater systems), for approval of: (1) the transfer, by sale, of substantially all of the wastewater system assets, properties and rights of Royersford Borough related to its wastewater collection and treatment system; (2) the right of PAWC-WD to begin to offer or furnish wastewater service to the public in Royersford Borough and portions of Upper Providence Township, Montgomery County; and (3) for approval of the use for ratemaking purposes of the lesser fair market value or the negotiated purchase price of the Royersford Borough assets related to its wastewater collection and treatment system.

 Formal protests and petitions to intervene must be filed in accordance with 52 Pa. Code (relating to public utilities) on or before Monday, December 7, 2020. Filings must be made with the Secretary of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, 400 North Street, 2nd Floor, Harrisburg, PA 17120, with a copy served on the applicant. The documents filed in support of the application are available only online for inspection and copying on the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission's (Commission) web site at www.puc.pa.gov and at the applicant's business address. In accordance with the Commission's Emergency Order at M-2020-3019262, all parties participating in matters pending before the Commission are required to Efile their submissions by opening an Efiling account—free of charge—through the Commission's web site and accepting Eservice.
