Taxicab Rate Review; Request for Public Comment; Doc. No. P-21-03-01

 On June 28, 2022, the Philadelphia Parking Authority (Authority) approved, through oral resolution, the recommendation of the Taxicab and Limousine Division (TLD) to amend the current rate review investigation under the amended Petition for Rate Change (Petition) that was filed with the TLD on May 12, 2022. The Amended Petition may be obtained on the Authority's web site at www.philapark.org/tld.

 Now, based upon the Amended Petition and the TLD's recommendation to the Authority, the TLD seeks written comment from the public at large and the industry concerning the current rate review, as it pertains to the following requests:

 (1) A proposed increase in the taxicab flat rate from the Center City Zone to the Philadelphia International Airport and vice versa from $28.50 to $32.

 (2) A proposed increase in the taxicab minimum fare from the Philadelphia International Airport from $11 to $20.

 Interested parties are invited to submit written comments no later than August 10, 2022, to the attention of Christine A. Kirlin, Esq., Director, Taxicab and Limousine Division, at ckirlin@philapark.org or by mail to Christine Kirlin, Philadelphia Parking Authority, Taxicab and Limousine Division, 2415 South Swanson Street, Philadelphia, PA 19148-4113.

 During this comment period, the TLD will also begin to conduct its own investigation concerning the aforementioned items of this rate review.

 The TLD appreciates input concerning this matter.
