HIGHER EDUCATION

Request for Proposals

   Indiana University of Pennsylvania, State System of Higher Education, invites interested professionals to submit proposals for design services for the installation of utilities, roads, parking, structures, drainage, stormwater management and other amenities to provide for the initial and future development of the South Campus area consistent with the University's Long Range Campus Development Plan. Interested professionals are to submit the information required under the following section entitled ''Instructions for Filing Application.''

Instructions for Filing Application

   (a)  Proposals must be received on or before the close of business August 9, 1996, addressed to the Slating Committee, Engineering and Construction Group Office, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Robert Shaw Building, 650 S. 13th Street, Indiana, PA 15705-1087. Questions may be directed to Robert L. Marx, Director, Engineering and Construction Group at (412) 357-2289 (FAX 412-357-6480) Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

   (b)  The Professional must submit six copies of either forms (Form 150 or 150-S or SF 254 & 255). The Professional shall supply photographs showing a maximum of two different views of each of the three projects described in Question 13 Form 150-S or Question 10 of SF-255. The identifications and appropriate supportive information concerning each photograph shall include the name, project title, location and the name of the Professional of Record. The University will return photographs submitted with applications to those firms that request it, and provide a self-addressed stamped envelope in which to return the photographs. The most qualified firms will be slated for consideration by the University Selections Board.

   (c)  The University Selections Board may at its discretion establish interviews with any or all of the Professionals who have requested consideration for appointment. If an interview is required, the Professional will be notified by the Board as to the date, time and location.

   (d)  Additional information, in writing, may be requested by the Slating Committee as required. Professional agrees that he shall comply with the terms of the agreement and specifically as it relates to the Professional Liability Insurance and the General Liability Insurance Requirements.

   The Slating Committee encourages responses from small firms, minority firms, women-owned firms and firms who have not previously performed System work, and will consider Joint Ventures, which will enable them to participate in this program.

   Applications submitted are subject to review by the Slating Committee. The Slating Committee and Selection Boards disclaim any liability whatsoever as to their review of the applications submitted and in formulating their recommendations for selection. Recommendations for selection made by the Committee shall be final under the act of November, 1982 (P. L. 660, No. 188).
