Availability of Final General Plan Approval and General Operating Permit for Portable Nonmetallic Mineral Processing Plants (BAQ-PGPA/GP-3)

   The Department of Environmental Protection (Department) finalized the revisions to General Plan Approval and General Operating Permit No. BAQ-PGPA/GP-3 for portable nonmetallic mineral processing plants. Notice regarding the availability of the draft general permit was published in the Pennsylvania Bulletin on August 15, 1998 (28 Pa.B. 3997--3998).

   A 45-day comment period was provided, but no comments were received. The revised general permit is now available for use by qualifying applicants. Copies of the final general permit BAQ-PGPA/GP-3 and an application form may be obtained by contacting Kimberly Maneval, Bureau of Air Quality, Rachel Carson State Office Building, P. O. Box 8468, Harrisburg, PA 17105-8468, (717) 787-4325.

   The documents have also been placed on the Department's World Wide Web site on the Internet which can be accessed at http://www.dep.state.pa.us, select Bureau of Air Quality, then Division of Permits.
