Environmental Stewardship and Watershed Protection (Growing Greener) Notice of Additional Grant Workshop

   The Department of Environmental Protection (Department) has scheduled an additional location for Growing Greener grant workshops for Tuesday, January 25, 2000, in Westmoreland County. The purpose of the workshops is to help educate the public about the application process and what types of projects will be accepted.

   The Department will offer an afternoon session at 1:30 p.m. and an evening session at 7 p.m. at the following location:

   Four Points Hotel by Sheraton
   100 Sheraton Drive
   Route 30 East
   Greensburg, PA

   The Growing Greener program authorizes the Department to make available grants to protect and restore watersheds, reclaim abandoned mines and plug abandoned oil and gas wells. The deadline for the first round of grant applications is February 11, 2000.
