Keystone Health Plan West; Demographic Rating Methodology Filing; 1-DEM-00-KHPW

   Keystone Health Plan West submitted filing number 1-DEM-00-KHPW for Insurance Department approval. This filing revises the rating methodology for small groups with 50 or fewer eligible HMO contracts in the western Pennsylvania plan area, which are members of associations or purchasing pools effective April 1, 2001 and ensuing months. Requested rating methodology proposes to use demographic factors for age, industry, area and group size.

   Copies of the filing are available for public inspection during normal working hours, by appointment, at the Insurance Department's offices in Harrisburg, Pittsburgh and Erie.

   Interested parties are invited to submit written comments, suggestions, or objections to Bharat Patel, Actuary, Insurance Department, Accident and Health Bureau, Office of Rate and Policy Regulation, 1311 Strawberry Square, Harrisburg, PA 17120, within 30 days of publication of this notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin.
