DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH

Advisory Health Board Meeting

   The Department of Health hereby gives notice that the Advisory Health Board will meet on March 6, 2001, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. in Room 100E of the Labor and Industry Building for the following purposes:

   1.  To review and approve final rulemaking relating to amendments to the School Immunization Regulations currently found at 28 Pa. Code § 23.83 (relating to application).

   A copy of the draft final rulemaking may be obtained by contacting Alice Gray, Department of Health, Division of Immunizations, P. O. Box 90, Harrisburg, PA 17108, (717) 787-5681.

   2.  To review and approve proposed amendments to the Communicable Disease Regulations relating to confidential name-based case reporting for HIV infection, including certain positive HIV test results; low CD4 T-lymphocyte counts; and perinatal exposure of newborns to HIV. The proposed amendments would also clarify the requirement to report presumptive diagnoses of AIDS based on AIDS defining illnesses.
