   P00971177. Rural Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers. Petition of Rural Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers for a 36-month suspension of interconnection requirements limited to only those requirements set forth in section 251(b)(1) and (c) of the Telecommunications Act of 1996.

   On June 7, 2002, the Rural Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers, consisting of Armstrong Telephone Company--North, Armstrong Telephone Company--Pennsylvania, The Bentleyville Telephone Company, Buffalo Valley Telephone Company, Conestoga Telephone and Telegraph Company, Denver and Ephrata Telephone and Telegraph Company, Hickory Telephone Company, Ironton Telephone Company, Lackawaxen Telephone Company, Laurel Highland Telephone Company, Marianna & Scenery Hill Telephone Company, The North-Eastern Pennsylvania Telephone Company, North Penn Telephone Company, North Pittsburgh Telephone Company, Palmerton Telephone Company, Pennsylvania Telephone Company, Pymatuning Independent Telephone Company, South Canaan Telephone Company, Venus Telephone Company and Yukon-Waltz Telephone Company, filed a request for a 36-month suspension, or until July 10, 2005, of their interconnection requirements under the Telecommunications Act of 1996. The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (Commission) has determined that publication and comment on this petition is appropriate. Interested parties must submit comments on the Rural Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers' petition within 15 days of publication in the Pennsylvania Bulletin. Reply comments must be submitted within 22 days of publication in the Pennsylvania Bulletin.
