Finding

Northampton County

[37 Pa.B. 1284]
[Saturday, March 17, 2007]

Under section 2002(b) of The Administrative Code of 1929 (71 P. S. § 512(b)), the Chief Engineer for Highway Administration makes the following written finding:

The Department of Transportation (Department) plans to replace the Ackermanville Bridge (SR 0191, Section 01B) in the Village of Ackermanville, Northampton County. The project will require the use of land from the Ackermanville Historic District, a section 2002 resource within the project limits.

Mitigation measures will be taken to minimize harm to the Ackermanville Historic District including replacing all trees and shrubs impacted by the project, documenting the Ackermanville Historic District and reporting on the Waltz Creek archaeological site and submitting the artifacts and records to the State Museum of Pennsylvania.

The Chief Engineer for Highway Administration has considered the environmental, economic, social and other effects of the proposed project as enumerated in section 2002 of The Administrative Code of 1929 and has concluded that there is no feasible and prudent alternative to the project as designed and all reasonable steps have been taken to minimize such effect.

M. G. PATEL, P. E.,
Chief Engineer
