NOTICES

Supplemental Payment Program Changes

 The Department of Human Services (Department) is providing final notice of its changes to its Medical Assistance (MA) Dependency Payment and MA Rehabilitation Adjustment Payment, as well as its New Hospital Payment program for Fiscal Year (FY) 2015-2016. Specifically, the Department has changed the eligibility criteria and payment methodology for the MA Dependency Payment and the payment methodology for the MA Rehabilitation Adjustment Payment. The Department has also increased its funding allocation for FY 2015-2016 for both payments. For new hospitals, the Department has changed the eligibility criteria and payment methodology for the MA Dependency Payment and has provided for funding for FY 2015-2016.

 The Department published notice of its proposed changes to these supplemental payments and its payments for new hospitals at 46 Pa.B. 943 (February 20, 2016). The Department received no public comments during the 30-day comment period and has implemented the changes as described in its notice of intent.

Fiscal Impact

 The FY 2015-2016 impact is $51.725 million ($24.823 million in State general funds).
