Transfer by Sale; Water Service; and Abandonment of Public Water Service

A-2019-3012193 and A-2019-3012194. Suez Water Pennsylvania, Inc. and Kensington Water Company. Joint application of Suez Water Pennsylvania, Inc. and Kensington Water Company, under 66 Pa.C.S. § 1102(a) (relating to enumeration of acts requiring certificate), for approval of: 1) the transfer, by sale, of substantially all of the Kensington Water Company's assets, properties and rights related to its water system to Suez Water Pennsylvania, Inc.; 2) the right of Suez Water Pennsylvania, Inc. to begin to offer or furnish water service to the public in portions of Hamilton and Letterkenny Townships, Franklin County; and 3) the abandonment by Kensington Water Company of public water service in portions of Hamilton and Letterkenny Townships, Franklin County.

 Formal protests and petitions to intervene must be filed in accordance with 52 Pa. Code (relating to public utilities) on or before September 9, 2019. Filings must be made with the Secretary of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, P.O. Box 3265, Harrisburg, PA 17105-3265, with a copy served on the applicant. The documents filed in support of the application are available for inspection and copying at the Office of the Secretary between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, on the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission's web site at www.puc.pa.gov and at the applicant's business address.
