DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

Implementation of Act 90 of 2018

 This notice is provided in accordance with 20 Pa.C.S. § 8629 (relating to Department of Transportation) regarding the implementation of Act 90 of 2018 (the Donate Life PA Act). The Department of Transportation (Department) has completed the following in accordance with Act 90 of 2018:

 (1) The Department's web site has been updated to include the detailed information required by 20 Pa.C.S. § 8621(c)(2) (relating to The Governor Robert P. Casey Memorial Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Trust Fund contributions) concerning organ, tissue, eye and vascularized composite allografts donation. This detailed information is available at https://www.dmv.pa.gov/Driver-Services/Driver-Information/Pages/Organ-Donation.aspx.

 (2) The Donate Life PA registry has been established as required by 20 Pa.C.S. § 8625 (relating to promotion of organ and tissue donation; Donate Life PA registry established).

 (3) Hyperlinks have been added to the Department's web site to permit the donation of money to The Governor Robert P. Casey Memorial Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Trust Fund as required by 20 Pa.C.S. § 8621. The URL at https://www.dmv.pa.gov/Driver-Services/Driver-Information/Pages/Organ-Donation.aspx contains a link to https://expressforms.pa.gov/apps/pa/DOH/Organ-Tissue-Donation-Awareness-Fund, which facilitates the donation of money to The Governor Robert P. Casey Memorial Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Trust Fund.

 Upon publication of this notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin, those provisions of Act 90 of 2018 contingent upon publication of this notice shall become effective.
