Service of Notice of Motor Carrier Applications

 The following temporary authority and/or permanent authority applications for the right to render service as a common carrier or contract carrier in this Commonwealth have been filed with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (Commission). Formal protests, petitions to intervene and answers must be filed in accordance with 52 Pa. Code (relating to public utilities) on or before March 6, 2023. Filings are recommended to be made electronically through eFiling to the Secretary of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, 400 North Street, Harrisburg, PA 17120, with a copy served on the applicant by March 6, 2023. Individuals can sign up for a free eFiling account with the Secretary of the Commission through the Commission's eFiling system at https://www.puc.pa.gov/efiling/Default.aspx. A protest shall indicate whether it applies to the temporary authority application, the permanent authority application, or both. Protests may only be filed if there is evidence that the applicant lacks fitness. Protests based on endangering or impairing operations of an existing carrier will not be honored. The documents filed in support of the application are only available for inspection through the Commission's web site at www.puc.pa.gov by searching under the previously listed docket number or by searching the applicant's web site.

Application of the following for approval to begin operating as common carriers for transportation of persons as described under the application.

A-2023-3038073. Abbas Transportation Services, LLC (7529 Alma Street, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, PA 19111) to transport, as a common carrier, by motor vehicle, persons in paratransit service, from points in the City and County of Philadelphia, to points in Pennsylvania, and return.

Application of the following for approval of the beginning of the exercise of the right and privilege of operating motor vehicles as common carriers for the transportation of household goods as described under the application.

A-2023-3037550. iMovers, LLC (622 Cresta Circle, West Palm Beach, Palm Beach County, FL 33413) to transport, as a common carrier, household goods in use, between points in Pennsylvania.

Applications of the following for the approval of the right and privilege to discontinue/abandon operating as common carriers by motor vehicle and for cancellation of the certificate of public convenience as described under each application.

A-2023-3038089. Parks Van & Storage, Inc., t/a Sam of Harrisburg (P.O. Box 1878, 740 Commonwealth Drive, Cranberry Township, Butler County, PA 16066) discontinuance of service and cancellation of its certificate, to transport, as a common carrier, by motor vehicle, household goods in use, as more thoroughly described in the original ordering paragraphs at A-00098380, F.2, F.2 Am-A.

A-2023-3038158. Conestoga Tours, LLC (1619 Manheim Pike, Lancaster, Lancaster County, PA 17601) for the discontinuance of service and cancellation of its permit, to operate as a broker, to arrange for the transportation of persons between points in Pennsylvania.

A-2012-2301558. Daniel Z. Martin, t/a DZ Martin (5581 Meadville Road, Gap, Lancaster County, PA 17527) for the discontinuance and cancellation of its right to transport, as a common carrier, by motor vehicle, persons in paratransit service, whose personal convictions prevent them from owning or operating motor vehicles, from points in the County of Lancaster, to points in Pennsylvania, and return.
