The principal items of work and approximate quantities include: AMD subsurface underdrains and AMD subsurface treatment cell: perforated 12" PE pipe, 3,265 linear feet, solid 12" PE pipe, 130 linear feet, AASHTO No. 1 calcareous coarse aggregate, 13,112 tons, calcareous modified 2A aggregate, 500 tons, noncalcareous AASHTO No. 1 coarse aggregate, 7,155 tons, ethylene-propylene-diene terpolmer (EPDM) impervious lining, 9,496 square yards; revamped treatment pond: coal refuse removal, 12,500 cubic yards, EPDM impervious lining, 5,393 square yards; fence, 1,300 linear feet; alkaline addition (limestone screenings), 50,800 tons; grading, 450,481 cubic yards; reconstruct recreational trails, 5,610 linear feet; forestland preparation for the forest reclamation approach backfill, 18.8 acres; tree planting, 16,750 trees; and seeding—wildlife habitat—mulching, 22.9 acres.
