Pennsylvania Crossword Bonus Cash Instant Lottery Game 1690

 Under the State Lottery Law (72 P.S. §§ 3761-101—3761-314) and 61 Pa. Code § 819.203 (relating to notice of instant game rules), the Secretary of Revenue hereby provides public notice of the rules for the following instant lottery game:

 1. Name: The name of the game is Pennsylvania Crossword Bonus Cash (hereafter ''Crossword Bonus Cash''). The game number is PA-1690.

 2. Price: The price of a Crossword Bonus Cash instant lottery game ticket is $3.

 3. Play symbols: Each Crossword Bonus Cash instant lottery game ticket will feature a ''YOUR LETTERS'' area, one crossword puzzle play grid and three ''BONUS CASH'' spots. The three ''BONUS CASH'' spots are played separately. The play symbols located in the ''YOUR LETTERS'' area and the crossword puzzle play grid are: the letters A through and including Z. The play symbols and prize amounts and their captions located in the three ''BONUS CASH'' spots are: NO BONUS (TRYAGAIN) symbol, TRY AGAIN (NOBONUS) symbol, NO BONUS (TRYAGAIN) symbol, TRY AGAIN (NOBONUS) symbol, $3.00 (THR DOL), $5.00 (FIV DOL), $10.00 (TEN DOL), $15.00 (FIFTEEN), $30.00 (THIRTY), $50.00 (FIFTY), $100 (ONE HUN), $150 (ONEHUNFTY), $300 (THR HUN) and $1,000 (ONE THO).

 4. Prizes: The prizes that can be won in this game are: $3, $5, $10, $30, $50, $100, $300, $1,000 and $50,000. The prizes that can be won in the three ''BONUS CASH'' spots are: $3, $5, $10, $15, $30, $50, $100, $150, $300 and $1,000. For a complete description of how these prizes can be won, see section 7 (relating to number and description of prizes and approximate odds). A player can win up to four times on a ticket.

 5. Approximate number of tickets printed for the game: Approximately 10,800,000 tickets will be printed for the Crossword Bonus Cash instant lottery game.

 6. Determination of prize winners:

 (a) Holders of tickets upon which the player completely matches ten entire words in the play grid, using only the letters found in the ''YOUR LETTERS'' area, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $50,000.

 (b) Holders of tickets upon which the player completely matches nine entire words in the play grid, using only the letters found in the ''YOUR LETTERS'' area, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $1,000.

 (c) Holders of tickets upon which a prize amount of $1,000 (ONE THO) appears in any of the ''BONUS CASH'' spots, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $1,000.

 (d) Holders of tickets upon which the player completely matches eight entire words in the play grid, using only the letters found in the ''YOUR LETTERS'' area, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $300.

 (e) Holders of tickets upon which a prize amount of $300 (THR HUN) appears in any of the ''BONUS CASH'' spots, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $300.

 (f) Holders of tickets upon which a prize amount of $150 (ONEHUNFTY) appears in any of the ''BONUS CASH'' spots, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $150.

 (g) Holders of tickets upon which the player completely matches seven entire words in the play grid, using only the letters found in the ''YOUR LETTERS'' area, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $100.

 (h) Holders of tickets upon which a prize amount of $100 (ONE HUN) appears in any of the ''BONUS CASH'' spots, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $100.

 (i) Holders of tickets upon which the player completely matches six entire words in the play grid, using only the letters found in the ''YOUR LETTERS'' area, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $50.

 (j) Holders of tickets upon which a prize amount of $50.00 (FIFTY) appears in any of the ''BONUS CASH'' spots, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $50.

 (k) Holders of tickets upon which the player completely matches five entire words in the play grid, using only the letters found in the ''YOUR LETTERS'' area, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $30.

 (l) Holders of tickets upon which a prize amount of $30.00 (THIRTY) appears in any of the ''BONUS CASH'' spots, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $30.

 (m) Holders of tickets upon which a prize amount of $15.00 (FIFTEEN) appears in any of the ''BONUS CASH'' spots, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $15.

 (n) Holders of tickets upon which the player completely matches four entire words in the play grid, using only the letters found in the ''YOUR LETTERS'' area, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $10.

 (o) Holders of tickets upon which a prize amount of $10.00 (TEN DOL) appears in any of the ''BONUS CASH'' spots, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $10.

 (p) Holders of tickets upon which the player completely matches three entire words in the play grid, using only the letters found in the ''YOUR LETTERS'' area, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $5.

 (q) Holders of tickets upon which a prize amount of $5.00 (FIV DOL) appears in any of the ''BONUS CASH'' spots, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $5.

 (r) Holders of tickets upon which the player completely matches two entire words in the play grid, using only the letters found in the ''YOUR LETTERS'' area, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $3.

 (s) Holders of tickets upon which a prize amount of $3.00 (THR DOL) appears in any of the ''BONUS CASH'' spots, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $3.

 7. Number and description of prizes and approximate odds: The following table sets forth the approximate number of winners, amounts of prizes and approximate odds of winning:

Scratch the YOUR LETTERS to reveal 18 letters. Scratch each matching letter every time it is found in the Crossword GRID. Each letter's square, when scratched gently, will turn white.

When you have matched the letters of two (2) or more entire words in the Crossword GRID, win the corresponding PRIZE shown in the PRIZE KEY. Only the highest PRIZE won in the Crossword GRID will be paid.

BONUS CASH: Reveal a cash prize amount in any BONUS CASH spot to win that amount instantly! BONUS CASH is played separately.

 Prizes, including top prizes, are subject to availability at the time of purchase.

 8. Retailer incentive awards: The Lottery may conduct a separate Retailer Incentive Program for retailers who sell Crossword Bonus Cash instant lottery game tickets.

 9. Retailer bonus: The Lottery may offer a retailer bonus in connection with the sale of Pennsylvania instant lottery game tickets. If a retailer bonus is offered, a Lottery retailer shall be eligible for a bonus as described in this section. Lottery retailers who sell a winning ticket that entitles the ticket holder to a prize, either payable in a single installment or having a guaranteed minimum payout, of at least $100,000 and not exceeding $500,000 shall be paid a bonus of $500. Lottery retailers who sell a winning ticket that entitles the ticket holder to a prize, either payable in a single installment or having a guaranteed minimum payout, of at least $500,001 and not exceeding $1,000,000 shall be paid a bonus of $5,000. Lottery retailers who sell a winning ticket that entitles the ticket holder to a prize, either payable in a single installment or having a guaranteed minimum payout, of at least $1,000,001 and not exceeding $10,000,000 shall be paid a bonus of $10,000. A Lottery retailer is entitled only to the largest bonus for which they qualify on a winning ticket. A bonus will be initiated for payment after the instant ticket is claimed and validated. A bonus will not be awarded to a Lottery retailer that sells a non-winning Pennsylvania Lottery instant ticket used to enter a Pennsylvania Lottery second-chance drawing or promotion that is subsequently selected to win a prize.

 10. Unclaimed prize money: For a period of 1 year from the announced close of Crossword Bonus Cash, prize money from winning Crossword Bonus Cash instant lottery game tickets will be retained by the Secretary for payment to the persons entitled thereto. If no claim is made within 1 year of the announced close of the Crossword Bonus Cash instant lottery game, the right of a ticket holder to claim the prize represented by the ticket, if any, will expire and the prize money will be paid into the State Lottery Fund and used for purposes provided for by statute.

 11. Governing law: In purchasing a ticket, the customer agrees to comply with and abide by the State Lottery Law (72 P.S. §§ 3761-101—3761-314), 61 Pa. Code Part V (relating to State Lotteries) and the provisions contained in this notice.

 12. Termination of the game: The Secretary may announce a termination date, after which no further tickets from this game may be sold. The announcement will be disseminated through media used to advertise or promote Crossword Bonus Cash or through normal communication methods.
