Availability of Final General Plan Approval and General Operating Permit for Portable Nonmetallic Mineral Processing Plants (BAQ-PGPA/GP-3)

   The Department of Environmental Protection (Department) finalized the revisions to General Plan Approval and General Operating Permit No. BAQ-PGPA/GP-3 for portable nonmetallic mineral processing plants. Notice regarding the availability of the draft general permit was published in the Pennsylvania Bulletin on August 15, 1998 (28 Pa.B. 3997--3998).

   A 45-day comment period was provided, but no comments were received. The revised general permit is now available for use by qualifying applicants. Copies of the final general permit BAQ-PGPA/GP-3 and an application form may be obtained by contacting Kimberly Maneval, Bureau of Air Quality, Rachel Carson State Office Building, P. O.    The documents have also been placed on the Department's World Wide Web site on the Internet which can be accessed at, select Bureau of Air Quality, then Division of Permits.
