Highmark Inc. d/b/a Pennsylvania Blue Shield d/b/a/ Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield; Filing No. 98230000: Proposed Reduction to UCR Level IIs (customary allowances) Based on Site-of-Service

   By Filing No. 98230000, Highmark, Inc. proposes a reduction to the customary allowance for certain procedure codes based on site of service. This 15% reduction applies to procedures most commonly performed in a facility-based setting. The impact of this proposed change is a potential 0.7% reduction in claims costs.

   Copies of the filing are available for public inspection during normal working hours by appointment, at the Insurance Department's Harrisburg, Pittsburgh, Erie and Philadelphia Regional Offices.

   Interested parties are invited to submit written comments, suggestions or objections to Bharat Patel, Insurance Department, Accident and Health Bureau, Office ofRate and Policy Regulation, 1311 Strawberry Square, Harrisburg, PA 17120, within 30 days of publication of this notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin.
