   E46-885.  The Elliot Building Group, 235 North Sycamore Street, Newtown, PA 18940, Limerick Township, Montgomery County, ACOE Philadelphia District.

   To remove an existing bridge and to construct and maintain a road crossing consisting of 182 linear feet of twin cell galvanized steel plate arches with a skew angle of 64 degrees and to install and maintain 140 feet of streambank stabilization in and along Landis Creek (TSF). The project also includes the installation of utility lines within the roadbed of the crossing. This project is associated with the construction of the Estates at Landis Brooke Subdivision, located approximately 2,000 feet east of the intersection of Sunset Road and Ridge Pike (Phoenixville, PA Quadrangle N:  17.85 inches; W:  1.25 inches).

   To restore the alignment and to construct and maintain R-5 riprap bank protection along approximately 150 linear feet of the channel of a tributary to Little Nescopeck Creek, for the purpose of addressing erosion of the embankment of a nonjurisdictional dam (Brookhill Lake Dam). The project includes installation of a rock deflector at the upstream end of the riprap and removal of approximately 120 linear feet of gravel bar. The project is located to the south of Brookhill Road, approximately 2,000 feet west of S.R. 0093 (Conyngham, PA Quadrangle N:  21.3 inches; W:  10.5 inches). E58-235.    To remove the existing structure and to construct and maintain a 20-foot x 7-foot concrete box culvert having a 1-foot culvert depression in Rhiney Creek. The work also includes the repair of approximately 110 L.F. of gabion baskets along the northern streambank upstream of the proposed culvert. The project is located along Township Road T808 (Howard Hill Road), approximately 450 feet south of the intersection of S.R. 1020 and T808. (Franklin Forks, PA-NY Quadrangle N:  19.9 inches; W:  14.0 inches).

   E19-210.  Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Engineering District 3-0, 715 Jordan Avenue, Montoursville, PA 17754-0218. Bridge, in Briar Creek Township, Columbia County, ACOE Baltimore District (Mifflinville, PA Quadrangle N:  10.6 inches; W:  2.6 inches).

   To remove the existing 38-foot span timber deck I-beam bridge which has a curb-to-curb width of 19.7 feet and an average underclearance of 5.0 feet and a normal waterway opening of 34.5 feet and to construct and maintain a prestressed concrete adjacent box beam bridge having a clear span of 45.9-feet, a curb-to-curb width of 26.0 feet and average underclearance of 5.5 feet and a clear opening of 45.9 feet and to construct and maintain a temporary road crossing with four 48-inch corrugated metal pipes 90-feet downstream of the existing structure. The proposed bridge will be located on SR 1019, Section 007 over East Branch Briar Creek approximately 0.5 miles from the intersection of SR 1014 with SR 1019. This permit was issued under § 105.13(e) ''Small Projects.'' This permit also includes 401 Water Quality Certification.

   E55-179.  Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, 715 Jordan Avenue, Montoursville, PA 17751. Tuscarora Creek, in Jackson Township, Snyder County, ACOE Baltimore District (Middleburg, PA Quadrangle N:  17.5 inches; W:  0.1 inch).

   To construct, operate and maintain 35 linear feet of concrete paved streambed. The projects area shall be 15 feet wide and cover the entire bed surface under the reinforced box culvert in Tuscarora Creek. This project is located .2 mile north of the Middle Creek/Jackson Township line along SR 1005. This permit was issued under § 105.13(e) ''Small Projects.'' This permit also includes 401 Water Quality Certification.

   E55-180.  Jeffrey W. Goff, 88 Old Colony Road, Selinsgrove, PA 17870. Bridge Construction, in Penn Township, Snyder County, ACOE Baltimore District (Freeburg, PA Quadrangle N:  22.75 inches; W:  17.20 inches).

   1)  To remove an existing footbridge, 2) to construct and maintain a 20-foot by 7.33-foot by 54.3-foot long structural plate arch culvert with concrete wingwalls; 3) to construct and temporarily maintain a cofferdam during construction of the bridge; in an unnamed tributary of Penns Creek located on the north side of Old Colony Road 0.5 mile west of SR 0204 in Penn Township, Snyder County. This permit was issued under § 105.13(e) ''Small Projects.'' This permit also includes 401 Water Quality Certification.

   E11-290.  Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Engineering District 9-0, 1620 North Juniata Street, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648. Blacklick Township, Cambria County, ACOE Pittsburgh District.

   To remove the existing structure and to construct and maintain a 30-feet long, dual 48-inch CPP culvert (invert depressed 0.53 foot) in Hill Creek (CWF) located on S.R. 4003, Segment 0040, Offset 0000. Also, to construct and maintain channel stabilization with rock riprap for a total length of 15 linear feet at the culvert's approaches (Colver, PA Quadrangle N:  5.2 inches; W:  9.7 inches).

   E26-282.  Georges Creek Municipal Authority, P. O. Box 338, Smithfield, PA 15478. Georges Township, Fayette County, ACOE Pittsburgh District.

   To construct and maintain approximately 189 L.F. of an 8-inch sewage pipe enclosed in an 18-inch steel casing over Georges Creek (WWF) located approximately 20 feet downstream of S.R. 3007 bridge (Smithfield, PA Quadrangle N:  7.98 inches; W:  7.86 inches).

   E26-284.  Fayette County Commissioners, Court House, 61 East Main Street, Uniontown, PA 15401. Wharton Township, Fayette County, ACOE Pittsburgh District.

   To remove the existing timber plank deck of County Bridge No. 42 having a clear span of 40.5 feet and an underclearance of 6 feet across Big Sandy Creek (HQ-CWF) and to construct and maintain a concrete deck. The bridge is located on T-379 (Scotts Run Road) at a point just east of S.R. 2003 Fort Necessity, PA Quadrangle N:  8.2 inches; W:  16.6 inches).

   E65-778.  Municipality of Murrysville, 4100 Sardis Road, Murrysville, PA 15668. Municipality of Murrysville, Westmoreland County, ACOE Pittsburgh District.

   To remove the existing structure and to construct and maintain a 1.0-foot depressed, 8.0-foot x 4.0-foot concrete box culvert in an unnamed tributary to Haymakers Run (HQ-CWF) for the purpose of improving transportation safety and roadway standards. The project is located on Bulltown Road (Murrysville, PA Quadrangle N:  16.9 inches; W:  8.75 inches).

   To remove the existing structure and to construct and maintain a bridge having a clear span of 10.00 m and an underclearance of 2.10 m across Barren Run (WWF). Also to construct and maintain stream bank protection at the structure located on S.R. 0981, Section E01 at a point just south of its intersection with S.R. 3035 (Smithton, PA Quadrangle N:  5.1 inches; W:  10.1 inches).

   E20-501,  PA Department of Transportation, District 1-0, 255 Elm Street, Oil City, PA 16301. SR 0079, Segment 1390, Offset 2241 Across Rock Creek, in Greenwood Township, Crawford County, ACOE Pittsburgh District (Geneva, PA Quadrangle N:  5.3 inches; W:  6.7 inches).

   To install concrete streambed paving and maintain the 253.5-foot long reinforced concrete arch stream enclosure having a span of 20.83 feet and a maximum rise of 13.5 feet across Rock Creek on S.R. 0079, Segment 1390, Offset 2241 approximately 1.5 miles south of the Geneva exit.

   E25-630,  Municipal Authority of the City of Corry. Avenue A Pump Station and Force Main, in City of Corry, Erie County, ACOE Pittsburgh District

   To construct and maintain a sanitary sewer pump station impacting a de minimis area of wetland (0.038 acre) northeast of the intersection of Liberty Street and Avenue A (Columbus, PA-NY Quadrangle N:  8.65 inches; W:  16.75 inches) and a sanitary sewer force main across a wetland area beginning approximately 580 feet north of the intersection of Liberty Street and Summer Street and extending north to the railroad tracks south of the wastewater treatment plant, a distance of approximately 517 feet (Corry, PA-NY Quadrangle N:  9.0 inches; W:  0.2 inch).

   To remove the existing bridge and to install and maintain a reinforced concrete box culvert having a 20-foot wide by 5-foot high waterway opening in a tributary to Cherrytree Run on S.R. 0008, Section A04, Segment 0610, Offset 0398 just north of S.R. 417 and to install and maintain approximately 100 feet of gabion blanket and rock riprap stream bank protection along the right bank of a tributary to Cherrytree Run adjacent to S.R. 417 approximately 500 feet southeast of S.R. 8.


SPECIAL NOTICES

Notice of Planning Grant Awards under Section 901 of the Municipal Waste Planning Recycling and Waste Reduction Act of 1988, Act 101

   The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) hereby announces the following grants to counties under section 901 of the Municipal Waste Planning, Recycling and Waste Reduction Act (Act 101) (53 P. S. § 4000.901) and section 208 of the Waste Tire Recycling Act/Small Business and Household Pollution Prevention Act (Act 190 of 1996).

   Planning grants are awarded to counties for 80% of approved costs for preparing municipal waste management plans as required by Act 101, for carrying out related studies, surveys, investigations, inquiries, research and analysis, including those related to siting, environmental mediation, education programs on pollution prevention and household hazardous waste and providing technical assistance to small businesses for pollution prevention. Grants may be awarded for feasibility studies and project development for municipal waste processing or disposal facilities, except for facilities for the combustion of municipal waste that are not proposed to be operated for the recovery of energy. All grant awards are predicated on the receipt of recycling fees required by sections 701 and 702 of Act 101 and the availability of monies in the Recycling Fund.
