6 Pa. Code § 11.133. Communicable diseases.

§ 11.133. Communicable diseases.

 (a)  If a staff person, volunteer or client has a communicable disease or a medical problem which might interfere with the health, safety or well-being of others in the center, written authorization from a licensed physician or CRNP, as set forth in § §  11.102 and 11.132 (relating to client physical examination and medical report; and staff physical examination) is required in order for the person to be present at the center.

 (b)  To the extent that confidentiality laws permit, written authorization from a licensed physician or CRNP shall include a statement that the person with a communicable disease does not pose a serious threat to the health, safety or well-being of others in the center. Specific instructions and precautions shall be provided for the protection of other persons at the center.

 (c)  The physician’s or CRNP’s written instructions and precautions shall be followed.
