§ 7.13. Appraisal and slaughter.

 (a)  Reactors shall be appraised for indemnity purposes. The appraised value shall be the current replacement value at the time of appraisal and depends on a number of conditions as provided in Chapter 8 (relating to appraisal and indemnity for diseased animals).

 (b)  Animals shall be disposed of within 15 days after appraisal. Reactors shall be slaughtered under State or Federal inspection at a recognized slaughter establishment which has tanking facilities available but not necessarily located on the same premises.
