§ 7.51. Designation and certification of areas.

 Designation and certification of areas shall conform with 9 CFR Part 78 (relating to brucellosis).

§ 7.52. Maintenance of certified free state.

 (a)  Maintenance shall conform with §  7.51 (relating to designation and certification of areas).

 (b)  Infected herds shall be tested within 6 months unless positive legal action has been taken by the state against owners to require tests.

 (c)  MCT reactor herds shall be tested or quarantined within 30 days. If quarantined, the herd will be tested within 6 months.

 (d)  BRT suspicious herds shall be blood tested within 30 days and animals in the herd are ineligible for health certificates during this period until a negative blood test is obtained.
