§ 69.804. Contracting recommendations.
The Commission recommends that major jurisdictional utility companies strive to take maximum efforts to provide that minority/women/persons with disabilities/LGBTQ/veteran-owned businesses have an equal opportunity to compete for the purchase of equipment, supplies, services, fuels, materials, construction, professional services, advertising and the like. The Commission encourages major jurisdictional utility companies to develop a diversity program which is designed to provide that a fair proportion of products and services contracts are offered to minority/women/persons with disabilities/LGBTQ/veteran-owned businesses. It is recommended that the major jurisdictional utility companies adopt the general guidelines in § § 69.80569.808 in the development or enhancement of their diversity program relative to contracting for goods and services.
