§ 181.1. Funding of local court administration functions.

 (a)  The positions of district court administrator, deputy district court administrator, and supporting staff are hereby authorized in the number and with the salary ranges as established by the Court Administrator of Pennsylvania, with the approval of the Judicial Council.

 (b)  The appointment of any person to a position created by this order shall be by the president Judge of the judicial district in which the person is to serve, subject to confirmation by the Court Administrator of Pennsylvania.

 (c)  The budget request of the Judicial Department for the Fiscal Year 1974-75 as otherwise adopted this date be modified by adding with respect to the courts of common pleas an amount fixed by the Judicial Council for this purpose.

§ 181.2. Representation of Judicial Officer defendants.

 (a)  The Administrative Office, upon being called upon by the justice, judge or magisterial district judge affected, may retain, and where appropriate compensate, special counsel who shall represent a justice, judge or magisterial district judge who is named a defendant in judicial proceedings by reason of acts or omissions alleged to have been done or omitted under color of office.

 (b)  The Administrative Office shall increase the budget request of the Judicial Department for the Fiscal Year 1974-75 as otherwise adopted this date by an amount deemed necessary to cover the estimated cost of compliance with this order.

§ 181.3. Electrodata Processing Operations.

 (a)  The policy of the Judicial Branch and the Unified Judicial System shall be to develop and maintain conformity and compatibility in the design, planning, function, and operation of computerized systems of recordkeeping.

 (b)  The administrative Office is authorized to implement the policy set forth in subsection (a) of this section.
